Just a reminder that it’s our “Bend the Rules” day tomorrow. For those participating in the water balloon battle with the teachers, make sure you bring a further change of clothes.
We’re looking forward to a fun filled day of bending the rules.

Our next Fundraising meeting is this Wednesday at 9 am in the staffroom.

We will provide the morning tea and everyone is welcome!

Come along and help us raise money for our Junior Playground.

Please remember there is no school on Tuesday 6th April.

Hot Cross buns are available to be collected between 2.30pm to 4pm today. Any collections tomorrow will be at the school office by arrangement.

Just a reminder that the Tuesday after Easter is a School Holiday.

Last night shortly after 8 pm, a couple of rubbish bins outside Room 7 were set on fire. Thankfully it was spotted early by local neighbours who then rang 111. This was then followed up by a very fast response by our local firefighters who were able to be put them out before any serious damage to the classrooms was able to occur. If this fire had been left a further 5-10 minutes longer or the pole had been made out of wood, it would have had a far more serious and sad outcome for this block of classrooms and our school.

Thank you to all our neighbours for keeping an eye on our school and reporting this fire quickly.

Thank you to all the firefighters for responding so quickly and putting it out.

Thank you to the cleanup team today.

If anyone has any information or hears anything relating to this fire and who may have started it, please either contact me (principal@greytown.school.nz) or the local police who will be following this up further on our behalf.

WOW! Thank you to all the people who have ordered Hot Cross Buns. We have sold over 1100 bags…which is 6600 yummy hot cross buns! Megan and Jo will place the order with the Rosebowl Bakery on Monday at 10. If you need to put in a final order please bring them to the office by 9 am on Monday. Another special thank you to the team at Tremains – Jaime, Mel and Frankie for donating every child in our school 4 hot cross buns today to take home from our local Greytown Bakery.
