The Newspaper team with help from Lisa Carruthers present their entry in the Front Page competition. The file is too big for our Web Site and so it is presented in 2 pieces but we wanted to show the good work that has been done.
Karaka
Karaka is an amazing syndicate of three classrooms with an average of around about 25 students in each.
The teachers of these classrooms are:
Mr Neil Preston
Miss Desiree Pearse - Room 11
Mrs Sue Lyford - Room 9
Miss Rachel Burt
We have everyday access to 40 macbook laptops which we can use when needed.
The laptops have had a great impact on our learning and education as well as having access to helpful sources of information.
Every 2 years our syndicate presents a production in front of the school and parents which we put a lot of hard work and pride into.
Camp is coming up at the end of the year. At camp we do heaps of awesome things like kayaking, mini bikes and rock pools exploring. We just can’t wait.
Also, every Thursday afternoon we go to different classes in the syndicate to do an exchange. For this we do subjects like Spanish, Sign Language, drama, music, Maori and dance.
We’re really looking forward to a fun year.
